Dear Shri Anubhav Upadhyaiji,
I can only say, " It is a pleasure & honour to be appreciated'.
Mussoorie is the bazaar, for my villagers and my family from time immemorial.
As a kid I use to, in my summer holidays from Delhi. walk/trekk with fellow villagers,
to Mussoorie. My family member and the other villagers would carry milk in wooden
& iron containers with wooden covers. Some of the covers were sometimes made
from grass.
"Here I would like to add, that in those bygone days, the Mussoorie Chakarata Road
was being constructed. Walking/trekking thru' some beautiful wooded path/pagadandi's
was a pleasure which is beyound, any thing in this world."
This milk would be sold to dairy owners in and around IAS acadamy and in Happy Valley.
I was distinct memory of two British ladies, who owned a dairy, to which my family would sell milk.
How can I forget them, they would give English chocolates to eat.
Anyway, Mussoorie's Landour Bazar, was the market from where the villagers, would buy
the loonah, tailah, kapahda and tambaku, for their daily use.
Beautiful memories,which I still treasure.
Mussoorie is very close to my heart.
Samany
